Alice Cooper, Bishop Briggs, Gavin Rossdale, Lzzy Hale and Tosin Abasi served as judges to help find the world’s next greatest unsigned original artist.

While most music competitions such as “American Idol” and “The voice” encourage musicians to cover other people’s songs, “No cover” spotlights artists and bands who write and record their own original music. At the end of the first season, the winning artists will get a six-figure recording contract with Sumerian recordsrepresentation of the booking agency of UTAmanagement from Refuge Music Groupprestigious festival slot(s) via Danny Wimmer presentsstudio time at Nightbird Recording Studiosnew equipment from Gibsonbrand endorsements, licensing opportunities and more.

The entire first season was filmed last year at the legendary Troubadour in West Hollywood, California. Since 1957, Le Troubadour has been at the forefront of musical discovery. From the first years of Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and EAGLES in the American beginnings of Elton Johnthe first title in Los Angeles of METALLIC and the beginnings of “Appetite for Destruction” range GUNS N’ ROSES.

Besides, “No cover” filmed on location at the legendary Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood, CA. This exclusive sanctuary in the heart of the Sunset Strip is a home for generations of artists, creators and innovators, movers and magicians. The Sunset Marquis Hotel is also home to the famous Nightbird Recording StudiosBar 1200 and Restaurant Cavatina.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Alice Cooper is widely known as the original “shock rocker” with a hugely successful career in music spanning an incredible six decades. His hit songs “School is over”, “No More Mister Nice Guy” and “Poison” are staples of rock radio and his iconic appearances in films like “Wayne’s World” and “Dark Shadows” endeared him to generations of fans.

When “No cover” was first announced in October 2020, Cooper said, “I can’t wait ‘No cover’. To me a band really isn’t a band unless they write their own material, and if you know anything about me you know I have a very high standard not only for songs but also for performance. I’m looking for the band that has it all – the one that can not only write it and play it, but also play it and make me believe this.”

The power of alternative pop Bishop Briggs has positioned itself to empower. With the platinum-certified viral hit “River”and opening for COLD GAME under his belt, Bishop shows no intention of slowing down.

“I’m beyond excited to be a judge on ‘No cover’“, Briggs mentioned. “Songwriting is such a therapeutic outlet for me to express myself that I can’t wait to dig deep and learn more about every single person who steps onto this stage.”

As singer, guitarist, songwriter and founder of an iconic multi-platinum rock band BUSH, Rossdale has sold over 20 million records in the United States and Canada alone. BUSH compiled an incredible streak of 23 consecutive Top 40 singles on the Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts. Eleven of them reached the Top 5, including six in first place: “Descend”, “Glycerine”, “Machine Head”, “Swallowed”, “The Chemicals Between Us” and “The Sound of Winter”. BUSH released their eighth studio album, “The kingdom”in 2020.

Grammy Award-winning singer/guitarist Lzzy Hale brings a strong and powerful perspective to “No cover” when she was the leader of the group HALESTORM with his younger brother Arejay For more than 20 years. Lzzy is a leader among her peers and a fearless voice for her legions of young fans. The star of numerous music magazine covers, she has won numerous industry awards such as the gold gods and was named strong wire‘s “Artist of the Decade”. Lzzy also has its own Gibson guitar from the Artist series, the Lzzy Hale Explorer.

Visionary guitarist Tosin Abasi is best known from the prog-metal band ANIMALS AS LEADERS and as co-owner of the custom guitar company Abasi Concepts. To fish was named “Guitarist of the Decade” by guitar world magazine and just landed her first big role in the movie “Bill & Ted: face the music”.

“I’m really looking forward to being part of this amazing panel of judges,” said Abasi. “This is the first time I’ve seen a show like this that actually connects with the music I’m into. It’s going to be awesome!”

“No cover” is co-hosted by the singer Kellin Quinn (SLEEP WITH THE MERMAID, CITY OF PARADISElisten)) and radio personality Caity Babs (SiriusXMit is Octane) with behind-the-scenes interviews conducted by a music industry veteran Matt Pinfield (MTV, VH1).
