Missy Elliott Explains How She Wrote Destiny’s Child’s Song “Confessions”

Missy Elliott pondered writing as a “storyteller” for Destiny’s Child’s song “Confessions.”

The hip-hop icon took to Twitter to reminisce about the process of creating the track, which featured on the girl group’s 1999 album. The writing is on the wall.

At the time, Destiny’s Child consisted of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett.

“I was just listening to my previous writing/producing style and realized that I used to paint a picture by writing for the R&B listener that I was writing as a storyteller. This song of Destiny Child was a good example (sic)”, she wrote.
