Following the release of her 2-track EP Eternal Existence, the LA-based classical pianist, songwriter-turned-songwriter, melodic techno and progressive house producer and DJ Lauren Mia is celebrating the release of a 5-track remix pack of her recent Eternal Existence’ EP which features various re-imaginings of his original productions.
Released via Luna Semara’s up-and-coming label Petit Matin on June 3, the EP features 5 emerging artists from the European melodic techno and progressive house space who share their own vision through the prism of Lauren Mia’s original works.
The EP’s opening track “One” is atmospherically remixed by Steyoyoke Recordings’ Clawz SG, a longtime Lauren role model, as well as Aussie producer Made In Paris who artfully shares his take on the original through its remix.
Featuring Australian singer Fractures, Lauren’s dynamic original vocal track “Converge” sees three remix contributions. Erli Tepshi structures his ethereal remix in particular to feed Fractures’ haunting vocals, while Berlin-based Guzy peppers the track with dark, mysterious and melodic overtones while creating a remix brimming with contrast. Closing the EP, Anjunadeep Rising artist Elif dynamically integrates her production style into the original with heart-pounding baselines and powerful energy.
The “Eternal Existence” EP was Lauren Mia’s second release through Luna Semara’s Petit Matin imprint, following her recent single “Ohm” in late March. The remix EP marks Lauren’s fourth release of 2022, with her “Existence” collaboration with Stil & Bense being released via German label Ritter Butzke in late March.
Lauren Mia’s deeper foray into the European dance label space this year follows 2021 releases via Rose Avenue Records from RÜFUS DU SOL, Anjunadeep and Somatic Records.
