Kanika Kapoor accused of stealing Pakistani singer Hadiqa Kiani’s song “Boohey Barian” | Hindi Movie News

Kanika Kapoor’s latest song “Buhe Bariya” got her in trouble. The popular singer has upset Pakistani singer Hadiqa Kiani, who accuses the “Baby Doll” singer of stealing her song. Hadiqa claimed that “Boohey Barian” was her original creation, with poetry written by her mother.

In a social media post, Hadiqa Kiani wrote, “I own all rights to Boohey Barian and all songs from my album Roshni. My mother wrote poetry. Anyone who claims to own my masters or my rights says so illegally and my team takes action. She further stated, “We have copyright documents dated before the release of my album Roshni, registered with full rights and ownership. No company or entity has ever received these masters and no company has a document with my signature giving rights. I have been silent long enough.

In a previous post, the Pakistani singer slammed Bollywood for stealing her work. Hadiqa shared, “Another day and another shameless rendition of the song my mom wrote, no one asked my permission, no one gave me copyright, they just take the song my mom wrote. mother wrote and i recorded and use it as an easy song till now it was stolen to be used in several Bollywood movies starring Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta it was stolen by all the other singers who sing on stage while making money. And of course by many singers who produce music videos, some of these cover videos have received almost 200 million views on YouTube. The latter gives me “credit saying “original song ‘Boohey Barian’ by Hadiqa Kiani”. The singer had signed off stating that “Pakistani music theft continues”.
