EST Gee has teamed up with Lil Durk to deliver new visuals for his song “In Town” which comes off the rapper’s label’s first mixtape, Bigger than life or death.
The Louisville rapper lets his scars show up in “In Town”, with shots of his late brother flashing through visuals made by Diesel Films. Gee’s brother is also the rapper’s current profile picture on Instagram, making sure to keep him at the forefront of any hits he receives. Lil Durk also uses his verses to rap about the importance of loyalty and the paranoia that comes with dealing with the streets.
“In Town” comes from the EST Gee project Greater than life or death, which featured appearances from Lil Baby, Future, Yo Gotti, Young Thug, Lil Durk, 42 Dugg, Rylo Rodriguez and Pooh Shiesty. In early 2021, Gee signed to Yo Gotti’s CMG Records, being part of an impressive roster that includes other artists like Moneybagg Yo. Gee told Complex how he and Gotti initially connected and how the deal came about.
“My man Nigel helped put everything together. He worked for Alamo [Records], and they were trying to sign me, but they weren’t trying to set it up the right way. There was not enough cheese. He always wanted to do business with me so he set up the play. They had [Yo] Gotti, and he knew I fucked Gotti, so he rode him like that.
