CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG announced at Main Street Theater

This summer. The Main Street Theater stages the high-flying, adventure-filled musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, based on the beloved iconic film! “Never say ‘no’ to adventures,” says Grandpa Potts.

“Always say ‘yes’.” MST says YES to adventures this summer with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! The musical is based on the MGM Motion Picture with music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman & Robert B. Sherman; adapted for the stage by Jeremy Sams; licensed script adapted by Ray Roderick.

Performances will be held at MST’s MATCH location, 3400 Main St., Houston, TX 77002. Saturdays: June 11, 18, and 25 and July 9, 23, and 30, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 10 , 17, 24 & 31 2022 at 12:30 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.

Caractacus Potts and his children, Jeremy and Jemima, embark on the trip of a lifetime with their one-of-a-kind car, the only – the only – Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! Based on the beloved movie, this “Truly Scrumptious” musical is a high-flying, fun-filled adventure for the whole family.

Chitty is directed and choreographed by Jimmy Phillips. The musical direction is steven jones. The cast includes Algy Alfred, Laurel Burrer, Brock Hatton, Michael ChiavoneChad Fontenot, Tyler GalindoMaya Hernandez-Pearson, Sophia Horwath, Matt Hurt, Lila Johnson, Daniel, Lopez, Aili Maeve, Olivia Nobles, Camryn Nunley, Tyler Rooney, Gracie Stamey, Whitney Zagarineand Olivia Zawada.

The design team is made up of Torsten Louis (decor), Hudson Davis (lighting), Donna South Schmidt (costume design), Shawn W. St. John (sound design), Alex Schumann (projection design), and Corey Nance (property design). Amanda Adwers is the stage manager.
