ZHU will remix the tracks for Pokémon 25: The Blue EP, expected later this month. Both EPs reflect the long-standing tradition of dual versions of the main Pokémon video game series, each featuring nuanced differences from each other and paying homage to the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue video games.
The songs of The red EP will appear on the next P25 Music compilation album, which will be released this fall by Capitol Records as part of a massive one-year music campaign by The Pokémon Company International in partnership with Universal Music Group. On the melodic “Got ‘Em” atmosphere, Staples faces life’s challenges head-on, drawing inspiration from iconic characters from Pokémon Mew and Raichu. The LP debuted as the current No. 1 rap album and landed at No. 21 on the Billboard 200 Chart Release Week.
