Bars and Melody auditioned on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014

UK singers Got Talent, Bars and Melody, are a far cry from the baby-faced couple who rose to fame on the ITV talent show seven years ago.

Charlie Lenehan and Leondre Devries were only 15 and 13 when they wowed the judges with their anti-harassment song and made it to the show’s finale.

Now in their twenties and traveling the world with their music, it’s fair to say the boys have changed their style.

Charlie, known as Melody, is covered in tattoos, with inks all over his neck, arms, and chest.

While Leondre has grown his hair out, which is a stark difference from the spiky style he used to rock as a teenager.

Britain’s Got Talent Bars and Melody are now successful musicians

The pair have been unrecognizable since their debut with a baby face in 2014

The duo are still best friends and have enjoyed great success musically.

They are currently on tour and will perform their Stay Frosty number in Manchester and London later this week.

The duo reached the final with their rendition of I’ll Be Missing You by P Diddy, but lost first place to musical theater group Collabro.

Simon’s Cowell’s Syco Music released the couple’s debut album, called 143, the following year and signed them to a £ 500,000 contract.

Bars and Melody toured Europe and Japan and appeared on America’s Got Talent: The Champions.

They also made a welcome return to Britain’s Got Talent in 2019 to sing their own song Here Comes The Sun.

And fans were shocked even then to see the couple looking so much older.

The duo said BGT changed their lives

One of them tweeted: “Holey [sic] shit ! Are they the same guys! #BarsAndMelody #BGTChampions. “

The duo released their album Carpe Diem and single Own Ways earlier this year.

They also announced a tour, telling fans, “Thank you for all the support and love throughout this pandemic, we hope you are all fit and well.”

Recalling their rise to fame, Bars and Melody shared a video of their moment on BGT.

They wrote: “7 years today … Words cannot explain the feelings towards this video. The moment that changed our lives forever!

“Thank you for being with us every step of the way. We have come to the end of the beginning. Our journeys have just begun. Up to 70 more.”

Britain’s Got Talent has not been able to move forward this year due to the pandemic, but it is hoped that the 15th series will return to ITV next year.
