Anne Marie began therapy during COVID-19 lockdown.
The 30-year-old singer says the sessions have changed “her whole brain for the better” and made her less aware of what people think of her.
Speaking on Smallzy’s “Celebrity Small Talk”, she said, “Locked out I started therapy with a real psychologist and it honestly changed my whole brain for the better.
“Until now, I’ve tried to let go of what everyone else thinks of me because it controls me so much and takes away that worry and leads my life the way I want it to.”
Meanwhile, the singer recently released the single “Our Song” with former One Direction star Niall Horan and revealed the inspiration for the song came when she heard a song on the radio that reminded her an ex.
She explained, “I was thinking about what to write and a song came on the radio that I had with my ex and I was like” oh my god “and then I thought, how many people have that song with their ex?
“Like, you still have that song and I thought oh my god so I went to the studio and Niall took his guitar and played exactly what you hear on the song like it was the first thing he played.” and it was easy after that. “
